I used to think I was a Jo, but as I've aged I have accepted that I am a Meg, complete with twins and married to a man named Jon. Little Women is a timeless novel that I think every woman should read at least once in her lifetime (boys and men also benefit greatly also from this beautiful story, it is one of my sons' favorites).

PART ONE: LETTER PRACTICE

Little Women Cursive Letter Practice

 Demonstrate and show your child how to write each letter, following the arrows with your finger.  First trace over every letter, then copy onto blank rows. The last copy rows focus on joining the letters without lifting your pencil. Check your child’s work after the first line for correct penmanship and to correct any bad habits or confusion. Have your child circle their best letter on the workbook page to help train their eyes as well as their hand.

PART TWO: WORD COPYWORK

Little Women Word Copywork

 Suggested schedule is for your student to copy two to three pages a week. First they will trace over every letter, using arrows and numbers as their guide, then copy words onto blank rows. Check your child’s work to correct any bad habits or confusion. Have your child circle their best word on the workbook page to help train their eyes as well as their hand.

PART THREE: QUOTE COPYWORK

Little Women Quote Copywork

I suggest your student copy one to three quotes a week, depending on your child's ability. 

The quotes get longer and progressively harder, so depending on your child’s pace, they may need to take a few days to finish the longer quote. Keep it fun! For an extra fun challenge, try to find the quotes in the book.

 This is my fourth Cursive Workbook, and I thought nothing would top the process of looking for quotes Learning Cursive with The Hobbit and Learning Cursive with Narnia......until Anne. 

As a child, I was a pale freckly talkative girl who used big words for big ideas, and spent most of her time being told, or telling herself, to just stop talking. To be honest, I wasn't introduced to Anne of Green Gables until I was an adult.  The first time I saw the Anne of Green Gables play, I remember joyfully crying  as the quiet Matthew and stern Marilla fall in love this overly chatty little girl.

My son went from HATING writing to asking for cursive practice with my original Narnia Cursive workbook, the same format as the Anne Workbook. Kids learn through MEANING, and every meaningful word and quote will make your kids forget they are practicing their handwriting. 

The Learning Cursive Series is designed for many ages; children just learning cursive, for older preteens and teens who need penmanship practice, or for adults who want to copy these beloved quotes.  They  can be used alongside a book study or as Charlotte Mason Copywork.

You asked and we listened!

 After publishing Learning Cursive with Narnia and Learning Cursive with The Hobbit, I had several people ask for a Bible Based Cursive Workbook. Prayer and discussion led us to the choosing the book of Proverbs as an appropriate copy work. We chose proverbs we felt children could understand on their level, and apply to their own lives.

The translation we chose  for the quote copywork (Part Three of the workbook) is 

New International Reader's Version (NIrV) Early Reader's Bible because it written on a third grade reading level, making it a perfect fit since many children begin cursive in third grade. 

Proverbs Cursive workbook is designed to give meaningful handwriting practice for elementary and middle school students. It can be used as a first introduction to cursive or penmanship practice for older students!
